The Protaganists
Kevin Kevin is the reckless and often absent minded hero of the story. While a secret unit in the US Air Force took interest in Kevin for his unmatched skills at fencing and driving, Kevin also has a sharp mind for political analysis and satire. As the comic progresses, Kevin gains fame (and infamy) for his website, www.ktracy.com; and his exploits garner attention from some very unusual sources.
Lee Lee is in charge of the most secretive military unit in the United States; which Kevin belongs to. Lee’s responsibilities include pursuing the success of her unit’s mission, developing strategies, and recruiting the most uniquely talented men and women into the unit’s ranks. She is fluent in every modern and ancient language and dialect known to man. Lee is also the best supervisor ever.
Beth Beth was recruited to keep a watchful eye on Kevin, due to his careless and occasionally stupid nature. Although Kevin will never admit it, Beth is always right. The details of her mission to watch over Kevin are shrouded in secrecy.
Semp Semp is the most interesting man in the world. Well, he’s really damn good with maps. That’s kind of interesting, right?
Curtis Curtis is an expert in firearms and psychological warfare. He’s also the most apathetic person you will ever meet. Exactly how he was coerced into enlisting in the military is a bit of a mystery, but it is believed he wouldn’t care enough to tell anybody about the top secret nature of his work. In his spare time, Curtis became a self-taught prodigy at programming and electronics.
Sparks Sparks is a certified genius and provides overwhelming brainpower to the unit. While he is most well renowned for his research and analysis skill, his seer size and strength makes him a brutal hand-to-hand combat amateur.
DJ DJ failed a mandatory vision test weeks prior to completing ninja school. Although he possessed the skills of a ninja, his lack of certification made it impossible for him to find ninja work. Realizing the opportunity to bring ninja skills into the unit, Lee recruited DJ as an expert in infiltration, espionage, sabotage, and combat.
Matt Matt has a thing for the ladies. Unfortunately for Matt, the ladies don’t have a thing for him. Although Matt knows nothing about the secret unit Kevin and the others are in, Matt is Kevin’s best friend. Being a fanatic about the history of armed conflict, Matt often unknowingly offers useful advice (and sometimes useful advice with bullets) for Kevin about combat tactics and other military matters.
The KTracy.com Staff
Greg Greg is the Chief of Staff at KTracy.com. A childhood friend of Kevin’s, Greg and Kevin share an uncompromising conservative view of politics. Greg is in charge of making sure the day-to-day operations of KTracy.com are carried out and that the rest of the staff does their job.
Francesca Francesca is Kevin’s ex-girlfriend. To understand how this relationship worked, it didn’t, and all you need to know is that it lasted less than a week. Greg chose her to act as the legal adviser to KTracy.com after Kevin put a joke about Greg in the comic. Francesca worked as a lawyer for some questionable characters in New Jersey prior to working for Kevin.
Al Unbeknownst to the absent minded Kevin, the bumbling but lovable evil Al spent the better part of high school trying to kill Kevin. Foolishly, Kevin hired Al to be in charge of security at KTracy.com.
Carl Little is known about Carl. We assume that Carl’s dad was either an Italian spy, or a guy who put the skins on sausages. Either way, Carl has an incredible talent for all things technology. Realizing Carl’s talents, Kevin has given him free reign of the KTracy.com complex… a right denied to the rest of the staff.
Rachel Rachel serves two functions. Officially, she’s in charge of housekeeping duties at the KTracy.com complex. Unofficially, well, Greg has his reasons.
The Antagonists
The Wizard of Oz Professor Marvel was a devious arms developer and dealer at the turn of the last century. He narrowly escaped capture by the US Army during the Spanish-American War. After a period of absence, he returned with a new alias, The Wizard of Oz. In addition to the new name, he also brought back a strange assortment of weapons and biological life. Using this mysterious technology, the Wizard has been responsible for many of the conflicts of the 20th century.
The New Jersey Mafia Kevin inadvertently crossed the New Jersey Mafia in 2004. Due to the nature of Kevin’s work in the Air Force, however, they have determined that Kevin is untouchable… at least for now.
Al Yeah, he’s already in the staff section… but he’s trying to kill Kevin. Lovable or not, that makes him an antagonist.
